I know the G1000 is a great advance for pilots, but there needs to be more on practical use of the system.
It’s more promotional than instructional.
Is this video trying to sell more G1000’s, or is it trying to teach pilots with G1000 training cockpits how to use them..

I had taken the part 141 Instrument Flying Course so that is the format I was familiar with and they also explain very well how to use the G1000.

It is a good course as an introduction to the Garmin 1000 but there is a lot more to it than explained in the course. I recommend it but I would love to see a part II.

Having flown round gages for 31 yrs I have now moved on to the G1000. The Sportys check out course has been a great tool in the transition. Very well narrated, great video footage and editing to highlight where your eyes should focus for the lesson. I would highly recommend the G1000 checkout course.

Well laid out and I felt it was a good review. Unless you fly every day, Garmin G1000 skills can be fragile. Great for blowing the rust off your G1000 “Wings”

Excellent training course for the Garmin G1000. The video segments were well organized for easy learning of the system, starting with how to use the controls and interact with the screens, building up to more complex operations needed for longer trips and instrument approaches. It covers the GFC700 autopilot in depth too, which I found helpful.

Will everything for this course work on Windows 10?

I downloaded the app on my iPad but did not receive the simulator software. How do I download it?
BEST ANSWER:The simulator is not available for the iPad. Only with the online course.

Is the included G1000 simulator download for the latest version?
BEST ANSWER:The simulator for the G1000 is no longer available as it is no longer supported by Garmin.

This is an download ? does it run in Mac computer ? It is also a G1000 simulator ?
BEST ANSWER:This is a course. it will play on the Mac using a web browser. The course does include a simulator. it is for the PC and will not run on the Mac.

Can I purchase and download the simulator software without buying the training course? I've tried Garmin and they apparently no longer sell the simulator.
