| RE: ETKA v7.4 Int Update's Hi, Newbie here. I install a ETKA 7.4 with 950 outdated database, then use ETKA online update tool 1.5 to complete download all the latest database up to vw1009 au1009 sk541 se535. When I open ETKA program and click Update, it started extract and copy all the database until it prompt out a message: 'Dear sir/madam, This data can only be processed by the latest version of Etka..' If I click the Update in ETKA program again, it will start all over until the message prompt out. Please guide me here. Thank you very very much! |

Therefore to keep ETKA from (unsuccessfully) installing ALL these 4x55+(!) updates in one go from the 4 locations ETKADATAAU-SE-SK-VWUpdate the first time you start it up or press the Update button, you FIRST need to remove all updates from these folders and store them in a safe place, BEFORE you start up ETKA for the first time! The first five updates of the brand you (primarily) want can be copied back/ left in its Update folder. After the first batch of 5 updates you feed ETKA the next 5 and so on until you've installed all you need to get at least one brand up-to-date to make ETKA work. Sometimes an errorbox pops up during installing of the updates. Don't worry ETKA will recover where it left if you press the Update button again. Strangely some updates only finish succesfully if you exit ETKA while it is updating itself! This should make it work for you too! Good luck Rob |

| RE: ETKA v7.4 Int Update's Hi Rob, after a long day update manually and of coz, before that the ETKA installation on a virtual machine, downloaded over 200++ updates for different brands, several days later with your valuable advice and instruction, I finally can click 'ETKA STARTEN'!!!!! I haven't update all to other brands, except for the VW but I already getting excited to search the parts that I need. Once again, Rob,thank you so much for your help! |

If I put the next update for me 'etupau10090.exe' manually into the ETKA update folder ETKADATAAUUpdate with this '0' at the end ETKA does not recognize update. When renamed to 'etupau1009d.exe' (same naming convention for updates received via your batch.exe) it does recognize update and starts installing update.. Problem though is that after ETKA Update finishes installing this update ETKA Update starts up again and again, looping the same update installation indefinitely like this update was not installed (correctly)?! Do you or anybody knows why the same update installation is unsuccesfully looped over and over again and how to remedy this? This way I'm stuck at au v1008 and will be revoked access anytime soon.. How to install Free ETKA 7.5 Germany & International :
1. Download all .rar Files, extract it and start ETK7.5_v2016.exe
The Installation Wizard will guide you through the installation.

2. The Install Password (not archives password) is: 2016@by-carfreak.kiss
Note: Please type in the password manually the setup don’t like Copy & Paste.
3. The install process continues with the necessary Hardlock Driver Installation.
4. After Installation the System will be restarted automatically.
NOW YOUR ETKA 7.5 vw parts catalogue IS READY !
5. Finally we will install the latest Updates – start etka updates v1.8.exe

ETKA Tested Version Install on Window XP
Open CD ETKA 7.5(E:)
Copy the compressed file [ETKA201605] to D: disk and extract the file
Notice: It must be extracted to the D drive, other disk can’t run
Then open [ETKA] file and double click [QQ1] file to install Hardlock Device Drivers
Then copy [Lexhdl5.dll] to C:windowssystem
Open [Emulator]
Choose [Install/start Emulator]
After that, copy [ETKA 7.5] to desktop
Run ETKA 7.5 application
If the message appears, just click OK Driver usb wifi inventel wireless magic.
Enter ETKA main interface, follow the pictures shown below to choose software language
Done! The installation is complete!

ETKA 7.5 on 32bit Windows 7/Windows 8.1
DISABLE ALL ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARE
RUN ALL COMMANDS FROM – “Run as Administrator”.
1.- Install “install-hardlock.exe”.
–> First installer, choose “English” option and installed.
–> Second installer, choose your language and installed. (only for Windows 7, 8, 10 systems. Others systems cancel installation)
–> This installer, create “Emulator” shortcut on Windows 7 (only?) desktop.
2.- Install “install-fix.exe”.
3.- Install “etka75setup.exe” (default install on C: not possible to modify).
4.- Open as administrator desktop shorcut created on step 1. “Emulator” and click on “ACTIVATE”
—> Emulator Installed and Started successfully (its OKEY MESSAGE).
5.- Reboot system.

6.- Copy all shortcuts in “desktop shortcut” + Make shortcuts for Data.exe and Prices.exe if you wish and place on your desktop.
7.- Place Folder “C:ETKA” + File “Data.exe” in Antivirus – Malwarebytes Exclusions (Malwarebytes treats this file {Data.exe} as a Trojan and deletes it).
8.- Re-enable Malwarebytes protections.
9.- Open “ETKA 7.5” and that it works OK!.
10.- Replace INI files (9 files??) with corrected versions.
I’VE CORRECTED THESE FILES TO REFLECT MY COUNTRY, LANGUAGE AND CURRENCY WITH “NOTEPAD”. YOU CAN DO THIS IF YOU LIKE.
11.- Run “Error 3 (32 BIT)” file.
12.- Run C:ETKAVWAURosyVisionControlregisterControl .Net v4.0.bat.
13.- Reboot system…
14.- Open “Prices.exe” – Click on “Change” and choose your price zone. Click on “Search” and “Start ETKA” for installed prices.
15.- Open “Data.exe” – Click on “Search” and wait to download news updates. Click on “Start ETKA” for installed updates.
16.- Check program operation.
17.- Enjoy etka 7.5.
ETKA 7.5 questions and answers:
Q: Can etka vw be installed on 32Bit and 64Bit Systems ?
A: vw parts catalogue can be installed Native only on 32Bit Systems, for 64Bit Systems please use a Virtual Machine (e.g. VMWare). Also, read OP at the beginning if 64 bit system.
Q: Who has found the solution to 64x systems?
A: You can try this: Instruction.txt link attached below.
It’s how I got 64bit to work in Windows 7 Pro (KrAzYtHeBoY’s program). It may lead you in the right direction.
Make sure you back up your original ETKA before you try!!!
Q: How to solve ETKA 7.4 Error 1009?

- Rus as Administrator
- Press any key for run fix
- Run ETKA
[MANUAL MODE]
1.- Start –> Search –> write “CMD” and run as administrator
2.- Copy and paste in CMD this line:

For those of you who are still having trouble with rosy vision try copying the rosyvisoncontrol folder from where it is located to the main etka folder for e.g c:etka ninstead of it being in C:etkavwau

Q: I have problem with update ETKA. Updates downloaded. When i install VW – it OK.
But AUDI can’t update. I must instal etka 7.5 but a have already installed. Anybody can help me?
A: You have two options. It happened to me twice when installing Etka.
Either you re-install and update not more then 5 updates at a time.
Or, try manually adding one update to see if Etka takes it. I hope this helps you.
Q: My hard drive just crashed, so I lost everything. I am having some issues here as well. I get to choose options instead of the actual description of the buttons.
A: The images that planet-fireball posted originally are no longer available, and I had the same problem. After going through several forums, someone suggested the following:
For anyone with this problem…change country in Region Settings under “language for non-unicode programs” (put some EU country instead of English – United States).
I haven’t had a chance to check this as have other more pressing issues. Hope it helps.
